The West Virginia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WVMEP)

WVMEP, housed inside Mining and Industrial Extension at West Virginia University, is focused on helping West Virginia businesses improve competitiveness in both local and global markets. WVMEP is the official representative of the MEP National Network and NIST MEP in West Virginia. The MEP National Network is a unique public-private partnership that delivers comprehensive, proven solutions to U.S. manufacturers, fueling growth and advancing U.S. manufacturing.

WVMEP serves as a partner in the Shale POWER initiative for the following twelve counties in West Virginia: Hancock, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Pleasants, Preston, Ritchie, Taylor, Tyler, Wetzel and Wood . They communicate and promote activities including training, workshops and events planned for Shale POWER. WVMEP will also provide direct technical assistance, make connections to experts and a suite of tools to small and medium enterprises who seek Shale POWER assistance in the shale-manufacturing sector.
