Julie Heins, Director of Supply Chain for Seneca Resources Company, LLC, discusses what it takes to do business with shale operators. She also explains how small businesses and small diverse businesses can leverage opportunities made available by Act 13, and how the current focus on ESG can drive more opportunities in the Shale Industry for small and diverse business. Seneca Resources Company, LLC is one of the premiere operators in the Appalachian Basin. They operate approximately 900 deep, unconventional shale wells in Pennsylvania. Seneca Resources controls over 1 million net prospective acres in the Shale Fairway in Pennsylvania. They have been an exploration and production entity in the region for more than 100 years and will be for many years to come.

Julie Heins  joined Seneca 10 years ago to lead the development of Seneca’s Supply Group which is responsible for procurement, inventory and warehouse management, asset disposal, and fleet management activities.  Julie has more than 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry.
