Fuel for Thought: Advantage for U.S. Plastics Processors

The Shale Revolution that started nearly 15 years ago has seen a lot of focus on the upstream and midstream development. However, the long-term opportunity for manufacturing in the United States has started to materialize and is no more evident than in the multi-billion dollar Shell Petrochemical facility being constructed in Western PA.

Now that the facility is almost ready to come online, what are the opportunities for local plastic processors?  Where is the value having a local supply chain? What could additional petrochemical facilities in the Appalachian Basin mean?
